The Stark Area RTA (SARTA) was established in 1997 to meet the public transportation needs of Stark County residents. Since then, we have provided reliable and affordable transportation that gives access to work, school, medical appointments, shopping and much more.
SARTA provides more than 2.4 million rides annually to commuters, seniors, individuals with disabilities, veterans and students through various services. Of those 2.4 million rides, over 162,000 rides were for quality, reliable trips to individuals with disabilities. As a result, we have the experience to deliver safe, dependable transportation services.
We are a certified non-medical transportation provider for I/O and Level 1 waivers through the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities. Our MedLine Services transports to Employment Sites, Adult Day Support, or Vocational Training. Our drivers go through extensive training and receive specialized CPR, First Aid and advanced BCI background checks.
