Siffrin is a not for profit service organization that empowers people with disabilities to achieve full community access.
Founding Mother Elsie Siffrin saw the need to keep persons with disabilities within the community, and to support families to do so. In her honor, Siffrin was named.
Siffrin began serving four men who had been moved out of Apple Creek Developmental Center in 1976. Now, Siffrin is in nine counties, and serves over 900 persons in an array of service areas.
Siffrin has been CARF accredited at the highest level for over 23 years, meaning our person-centered focus has been recognized as the basis of all services since approx.1994.
Siffrin encourages personal choice, promotes daily independence and provides supports based on the person's need. Our staff are caring, well trained and act as advocates, friends and one of the biggest fans to helping a person on their career path or path to happiness and to achieve their dreams!
