CLI was incorporated in 1976 as the non-profit employer of persons with developmental disabilities who recieved services from the Huron County Board of DD. In 2016 CLI privatized away from the County Board & operates a non-profit business that provides services to people. We believe that people are best served as active members of their communities. We further believe that CLI's mission of elevating people with DD requires that we also actively work to lift up direct care staff and our communities. CLI supports employment first initiatives & created Firelands Local LLC in 2016 to be the employer of record for all non-provider functions.
