Bittersweet Farms

Bittersweet Farms opened in 1983 in Whitehouse, Ohio. Resting on 80 acres of farmland, Bittersweet Farms provides residential and vocational services, as well as day programming options for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Since it’s opening, Bittersweet Farms has expanded to Pemberville and Lima.

Bittersweet is a private non-profit that offers an array of premier services to adults and adolescents with autism delivered in the context
of an agricultural community. Our unique model offers individuals supports that allow them to grow and to develop their abilities and talents in an agricultural setting. The Bittersweet community creates many products that are offered for sale to support employment of those with autism.
